Alaskan salmon processors today (Jan 17th, 2012) announced their intent to abandon the Marine Stewardship Council eco-certification.
This comes only days after BC conservationists announced their intent to oppose MSC re-certification of several “unsustainable” Alaskan salmon fisheries.
