Why price stability is key to the future of the food chain

Farm and Food prices have for far too long been regarded as a non-issue by governments and consumers. Indeed many farmers had started to lose hope in the face of flat or declining prices. 2008, 2010/11 announced a turning point as prices rose unsustainably, forcing food processors & caterers to do more with less. Sustainable supply has now become a key issue for companies across the whole food chain, "from the farm to the plate".
