The ethanol idustry in the US came under further attack this week when Congressman Wally Herger and Congressman Joseph Crowley introduced a bipartisan bill, known as the Ethanol Subsidy Repeal Act, to immediately repeal the Volumetric Ethanol Excise Tax Credit (VEETC), as well as the tariff on imported ethanol.
